Orchard Village welcomes Gandini

Last week acclaimed circus company Gandini brought their brand new show Smashed2 - fresh from Greenwich and Docklands International Festival - to the Mardyke Community Centre in Orchard Village. It was a beautiful afternoon that brought the community together during very challenging times. The show is an ensemble piece which starts as an impressive display of juggling feats but then slowly morphs into something challenging and provocative - inviting us to think about gender relationships and how they might play out in our own lives. It also involved 160 oranges and 16 water melons.
