OPEN CALL - Big Summer of Outdoor Arts
We want to work with amazing, innovative and community focused artists, community groups, service providers, local businesses and venues to create something truly extraordinary this summer.
We would love to see proposals from a wide range of practices. The work can be specifically proposed for this programme, be site-specific based on pre-defined locations or be pre existing.
Deadline: Friday 09 July 2021 - 5:00 PM
The Steering Groups for each area have outlined a series of themes, activities and practices they would like to see take place in their community.
Havering Changing will provide funding to facilitate you to turn these dream into a real living and breathing programme of events.
You can submit proposals to as many opportunities as you like or combine into a larger project.
As these will be public events, creatives will need to bear in mind that you will:
need to have public liability insurance for the proposed work
be subject to monitoring and evaluation processes
have a DBS in place if proposing to work with vulnerable participants
The fee will include ALL costs associated with the work including (and not limited to) artist fees and VAT.
The proposals will be chosen by the Harold Hill, Orchard Village, Rainham and Romford Steering Groups on the basis of:
Its general spectacle and impact
Relation to the steering group advisory brief
Practicality in a public environment
Value for money
Accessibility for individuals and communities to engage
It's ability to engage with underserved and underrepresented communities
