Creative High Streets events in Romford, Hornchurch & Upminster
Havering Changing has been awarded funding for the Creative High Streets project which aims to encourage people back on to the high street in Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster in February and March, after the tough times faced during the pandemic. There will be an array of spectacular performances from international artists, arts workshops, music and food for all of the family. The aim is to get as many local people as possible involved with inspiring and meaningful creative activities.
We will be bringing spectacular performances from international artists, arts workshops and music to your high street! We're launching in Romford Market Place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th February 2022, from 12pm - 4pm! Why not come along and watch Spanish performers Delrevés the amazing aerial ballet dancers! Join in with Italian artists, Stalker Teatro and build an art installation with them. Listen to Andy Linham's 17 piece orchestra in the grounds of St. Edward's Church and string quartet, Graffiti Classics in the Market Place! Continue the fun by helping local artists GeoJam paint a participatory artwork in Swan Walk and get crafty and arty with BluerSkies Mindful Creatives at their workshops! That's not to mention a facepainter, a balloon modeller and vouchers to sample the food in the Market! We can't wait to see you there! We'll also be in Hornchurch on the Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March and Upminster on the Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March!
