The day will include food and drinks, festive activities, performances and workshops for all the family to enjoy!

Come along to Rainham Hall on Saturday 18th December, for the following:

12-3pm

•Hot and cold lunch options supplied by Michelin trained chef Megha Arora, of local business ‘Pink Foodie.’ Options available on the day include Red Thai Curry, Chickpea curry (vegetarian), Asian Salad, Kids Menu, Chips, Chicken nuggets, veggie nuggets, hot chocolates and a range of soft drinks for adults and children.

•Access to Rainham Hall’s ‘Percy the Park Keeper’s winter wander’ a self-led trail which takes you on a journey around the beautiful community garden to explore different nature and gardening activities. Most suitable for 2-7 year olds and their adults.

•Entry to Rainham Hall building and The ‘Denney Edition’ exhibition. Did you know that entrance to both will be FREE to RM13 postcode holders? Proof of address such as a driving license will be required on arrival.

3-4pm

•End the day by listening to a coral choir performance sing uplifting and joyous songs that we all know and love.

The coral choir will be joined by local steel pan performers ‘Dallaway Steel,’ who together will take you on a short journey around Rainham Village, starting at the famous Clocktower just across the road from Rainham Hall and ending with the event finale back at Rainham Hall, where a community made wreath will me be hung on the doors of Rainham Hall.

Feel free to join in the singing as we end the day on a high note!

Workshops

Please note: Booking is essential as limited places are available. Please book tickets for every single person in your party including children, e.g. a family of two adults and two children requires four tickets in total.

Join local artist Laura Fletcher to weave a range of natural materials, including those foraged from Rainham Hall Gardens, to create a large scale community wreath which will be hung on the doors of Rainham Hall during the event finale.

Join BluerSkies Mindful Creatives to make illuminating festive lanterns and headband garlands using a range of natural and light themed materials. For your lanterns you’ll be invited to create a message of hope to insert inside, and you can choose to either take home your final piece or add them to our growing light trail display in Rainham.

Local bus route 287 from Orchard Village to Tesco in Rainham (nearest stop to Rainham Hall)

FREE Shuttle Bus Service

If you live in Orchard Village there will be a FREE shuttle bus service to take you to and from Rainham Hall.

Meeting place is outside Newton's Primary School Entrance at 11:30 am and again at 1:00 pm.

Please call/email Lucy, Havering Changing’s Local Area Worker for Orchard Village to reserve a spot on the bus, limited spaces available. Please book tickets for every single person in your party including children, e.g. a family of two adults and two children requires four tickets in total.

You are encouraged to wear a face covering if its busy in our indoor areas. Please bring one with you (unless you are exempt).

Hand sanitisers and spare face coverings will be available on arrival and throughout different activity spaces.
